Terms of Use

Last updated 5 November 2026

These terms apply to your use of Vetuz (the "service"). By creating a login or using the service you agree to them. If you use Vetuz for an organisation, you agree on its behalf.

Your account

  • You must give accurate information and keep your login details safe.
  • One person, one account. You must not create an account for someone else or pretend to be someone else.
  • You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us straight away if you think it has been misused.

Employees

  • Creating a profile and sharing it is free.
  • You decide who sees your verified record by giving them a share code. You can switch codes off at any time.
  • You must not upload documents that are false, altered or belong to someone else.

Employers and verifier organisations

  • Only confirm or rate employment that genuinely happened, and keep ratings factual and fair.
  • Use a person's record only for the purpose you state when running a check, such as pre-employment screening, and only with their consent.
  • Follow the privacy, anti-discrimination and employment laws that apply to you. Do not store, sell or pass on records beyond what the law allows.
  • Formal warnings or misconduct flags need evidence and are reviewed by Vetuz before they appear on a record.

Acceptable use

You must not try to access records without consent, scrape or bulk-download data, interfere with the service, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Accuracy of records

Records are confirmed by the employers and institutions involved. We work to keep them accurate but cannot guarantee that every record is complete or correct. Use a Vetuz report as one part of your own decision-making.

Fees

Vetuz is currently free to use. If we introduce paid plans for organisations, we will publish the prices and give notice before any charges apply. Employees will not be charged for their own profile.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is" and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot be excluded.

Changes

We may update these terms. If changes are significant, we will let you know before they take effect.
